For the first time Guispee Verdi’s masterpiece directed by Philip Stolzl was performed on the Constance lake stage in the summer of 2019 at Bregenzer Festspiele, Austria. Set on a unique, open-air floating stage on Lake Constance, Rigoletto delights audiences with a blood-curdling and compelling performance. Directed and designed by Philip Stolzl who has staged successful productions at the Salzburg Festival, Theatre an der Wien and the Staatsoper in Berlin and Dresden, with Wired Aerial Theatre providing Movement Direction, and larger than life aerial artistry and stunts to the production.
Wired are thrilled to have worked in one of the most famous operas with one of the biggest lake stages in the world. Now is the chance for local audiences in Wired’s hometown of Liverpool to experience this internationally famous tale from an award-winning opera festival. FACT will be showing local audiences the theatrical spectaculars and captivating choreography of Rigoletto on the big screen.
