Bregenz Festival

It’s going to be an extremely special summer for Wired. The company is thrilled to be working with stunt choreographer Ran Arthur Braun to provide aerial artistry and technical consultation for a new production of Carmen, at Bregenz Festival in Austria. This won’t be any regular opera, as Bregenz is renowned for its unique, open-air floating stage on Lake Constance. This production of George Bizet’s masterpiece promises to be truly breathtaking – you can have a sneak preview of the jaw-dropping set as it develops on the festival’s webcam.

Following a callout in January which attracted 250 applications, and saw 80 dancers and climbers audition in Liverpool, Wired has selected the very best talent from across the UK and Europe to bring the drama and passion of Carmen into the air this summer.

Carmen premieres at Bregenz Festival on 19 July, and runs through to 20 August 2017.
